PMCC Committee

Flag Officers

Commodore

Sam Beechey

This term is certainly not Sam's first as Commodore, he has served in that capacity for 5 years in the past. We are fortunate to have a person with such a wealth of experience and knowledge of the club and its history again at the helm. Sam first became involved with the PMCC around 1992. Over the last couple of years he has developed a keen interest in aviary birds which has occupied his time. However his main passion has always been the Cruiser Club and its great to see him back.

Vice Commodore

Craig Solly

Craig has been our Commodore for the past two years. He decided to step aside prior to our normally scheduled AGM in October of last year and certainly did not expect to be back in an executive position so soon! He has been an active member of the club for the past 7 years and as both an ordinary member and Flag Officer has contributed an incredible amount to the PMCC. Craig's experience in the administration of similar organisations to ours plus his prior experience as our Commodore puts us in good hands.

Rear Commodore

Ron Dunlop

Ron has been a supporter and very active participant of PMCC activities since 2001 when he first moved to Paynesville. He first joined the Committee in 2001 and was Rear Commodore in 2003 04. As the proprietor of the Allawah Caravan Park, Ron lives close to the clubhouse and there has been many occasions when he has attended to urgent maintenance issues at the club- often late at night! Once again he has stepped forward to assist us and the integration of his skill and knowledge will be of considerable value to the club.

 Sam Sergeant

To probably 90% of club members Sam is no stranger, he has been, in his own words, "around the club for years". As a past committee member he certainly understands the ramifications of volunteering. In addition to serving as committee person Sam has been Rear Commodore for 3 terms so he certainly has a good deal of experience to share. The next few months are shaping up as a very busy time as Sam is about to slip his boat and start on some maintenance.

Dave Clifford

Dave is a local electrician who has been a member of the PMCC for a number of years. His input on the committee will simply be an extension of the many hours he has already put in helping maintain the club premises. Dave and his family have been regular attendee's at most of our club functions and outings. He is the first of our "younger" members to take on an administrative position in club, his interaction is seen as extremely valuable and his presence will hopefully encourage others to follow his lead.

Leigh Vinnell

In my relatively short time (7 years or so) as a club member I have met some lovely people and of course quite a few "characters", many of whom have contributed an incredible amount to the club. I feel that its time I too contributed a little more. The facility we own and the camaraderie we share, is worth working for. As a "distant" (Inverloch) member I have been heavily involved in the club's website for the past 2 years. I saw that as a way of contributing without actually having to maintain frequent presence at the club. Ah well, so much for that idea!
